Spoilers for the UK Home and Away follow.
Ari Parata of Home and Away irritates his girlfriend Mackenzie Booth next week after leaving her out of a family gathering.
Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) throws a barbeque for the Paratas, but opts out of inviting Mackenzie because he’s conflicted about their future.
The arrival of Ari’s ex-girlfriend Mia and her daughter Chloe has thrown the couple’s relationship into disarray.
In upcoming episodes on Channel 5, Ari tells Mac (Emily Weir) that he needs some space before he figures out what he wants. With this in mind, he feels it is preferable not to welcome Mac to the barbeque.
Despite this, Ari invites Mia (Anna Samson), which results in a somewhat uncomfortable situation when she mistakenly tells Mac about it.
Mac realises she’s on the verge of losing Ari and asks Mia not to take him away. Mia is adamant that she didn’t come to Summer Bay to sabotage Ari’s friendship.
Ari’s brother Tane (Ethan Browne) later asks him about his hurtful conduct.
Tane points out that Mac’s absence from the barbeque is a notable exclusion, particularly given the presence of Ziggy and Bella. Tane isn’t happy about the way Ari is treating Mac.
Mia also challenges Ari’s involvement, wondering why she’s there because his own girlfriend isn’t.
Mac comes to figure out what’s going on as Ari and Mia are having a private conversation on the side of the house.
Mac is irritated to see the former couple in such close quarters and leaves without informing any of them.
Ari confesses his lingering feelings for Mia after Mac has left. Mia is thrown into a tizzy and flees the party – has Ari made a mistake?
