Following the shipment of Colby (Tim Franklin), Dean (Patrick O’Connor) was tossed off to die for Ross’ murder. Willow (Sarah Roberts) has left the bay, Bella (Courtney Miller) is suffering as badly as he is since they were giving testimony against their colleague at court and Amber (Madeleine Jevic) has been taking Jai (River Jarvis) away from him.
Turning to drink, before riding up to see Ziggy, he makes a scene of Salt (Sophie Dillman). Alcohol fuels his faith that he can get her to come around, despite her repeatedly reminding him they don’t have a future.
Ziggy is shocked to open the door to him, but amid his reasons, her reactions remain the same. Eventually, she can’t get past it because he kept Ross’s murder secret for their entire relationship.
Dean responds by turning around suddenly and getting into his car, much to Ziggy’s alarm. She calls after him, noticing he’s heavily intoxicated, but he either doesn’t notice or is not willing to respond, starting the car and speeding south.
In an attempt to locate him, Ziggy runs towards Salt, but Mac (Emily Weir) and Tane (Ethan Browne) haven’t seen him. Tane joins Ziggy to drive around to track him down, but when they see Dean’s car on the side of the lane, the pair are frightened, with Dean himself slumping at the wheel…
