Home and Away announces shocking new storyline for Martha and Kieran

Martha has yet another problem to deal with.

Spoilers from Australian speed episodes follow from Home and Away, which some UK readers may choose to avoid.

Viewers of Home and Away will be in for a shock as Martha Stewart’s troubled son Kieran returns to the show.

After Alf and Roo Stewart learned Kieran (Rick Donald) was drinking again, he vanished. Since then, Martha’s (Belinda Giblin) mental health has been a point of worry for her.

Martha takes some time to think about her problems and tells Alf (Ray Meagher) and Roo (Georgie Parker) that the time she thought she saw Kieran was just a figment of her imagination. Roo is apprehensive about bringing her mother home from the hospital, but Alf insists.

When Martha comes home, things are only going to get worse for her because her son has returned – and fueled by alcohol, Kieran will abduct his mother.

“Since Kieran’s arrival, Roo has been concerned about Martha,” Georgie told TV Week.

“In addition to the shock of learning, Roo suspects that Martha has manipulated her and Alf. It is not only concerned with the health of Alf, but also with the family.”

Martha plans to go to a caravan to retrieve Kieran’s belongings. She’s surprised to see Kieran while she’s in there, but she’s worried it’s just another hallucination.

Alf and Roo are concerned and go to the caravan to check on themselves, but it is empty. Both are completely unaware that Kieran is lurking nearby.

Kieran manages to get his hands on some alcohol the same night and then kidnaps his mother. He needs money from Martha so he can buy more alcohol.

“It’s such an unlikable thing when a man is violent towards a female,” Rick said, “but it’s even worse when it’s his own mother.”

“On the show, I don’t think I’ll have many supporters. Many people don’t like the way he [Kieran] treats people, I believe.”

When Alf and Roo notice Martha is missing, they contact the authorities. Will they be able to meet her in time?

This tale will premiere in Australia this week, and in the UK in April.
