Martha Stewart accuses her husband Alf and daughter Roo of keeping her hostage in emotional scenes next week on Home and Away.
Martha (Belinda Giblin) makes the concerning comments as her mental health deteriorates as a result of her son Kieran Baldivis’s departure.
Kieran (Rick Donald) fled Summer Bay after threatening Alf with abuse during a heated argument at the Surf Club. His family later learned that an arrest warrant had already been issued for him.
In the upcoming Channel 5 episodes, Martha continues to blame Alf (Ray Meagher) and Roo (Georgie Parker) for Kieran’s departure, saying that they made him feel unwanted during his brief stay in the Bay.
Martha, unable to forgive her relatives, suggests that she return to Merimbula for a while. Both Alf and Roo attempt to persuade her.
Later, Martha seeks out Irene Roberts (Lynne McGranger) and asks her for assistance. Irene is taken aback when Martha insists that Roo and Alf are taking her hostage.
Irene desperately tries to talk Martha down, knowing this can’t be true, but Martha stands firm in her arguments.
Another worrying moment occurs when Martha thinks she has met Kieran.
Though Martha appears to be referring to her son, he apologises for his recent actions.
When we see Martha talking to thin air, it’s clear that she’s having serious hallucinations.
