Lynne McGranger, who stars in the Australian soap Home and Away, has clarified why there is a lack of social distancing on the show.
Although UK soaps have featured characters standing far apart, wearing masks, and kissing scenes with real-life partners, Home and Away has been more lenient.
“Ok,” the Irene Roberts actor said when asked why that was on Twitter by a fan. But there’s no social distancing in SB because the writers and producers assume (correctly) that our audiences want to be entertained.
The show stated in July of last year that, despite the social guidelines in place at the time in New South Wales, it was showing physical contact between actors.
