There’s something between them that has yet to be discovered.
Mackenzie Booth of Home and Away will receive tragic news next week in scenes scheduled to air in the United Kingdom.
Mac (Emily Weir) is in excruciating pain and collapses at home. Her brother Dean Thompson finds her the next day, and when she’s taken to the hospital, Mac learns that she’s having an ectopic pregnancy, and she loses her daughter.
The baby’s father was Ari Parata, and Mac and Ari’s relationship recently ended due to Ari’s ex-girlfriend Mia reappearing in his life. Mac had chemistry with Ari’s younger brother Tane when they were together, but it was never discussed, and Tane is now settled with ziggy
Emily revealed more about Mac’s love life in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, implying that there is still a flame between Mac and Tane.
Emily expressed her sorrow for Mack by saying, “I feel very sorry for Mack.” It would have been fun to see what would have happened if she hadn’t been pregnant.
I believe Mack was under the impression that she would never fall in love with anyone like Ari. It was a lovely, unexpected relationship that began as adult friends with benefits and then evolved into something more, as these things always do in life.
It was heartbreaking to see that happen, but I believe Mackenzie deserves to be with someone who just wants to be with her, and when Mia entered the photo, she didn’t want to be with someone who didn’t prioritise her.
I believe she would have moved on from that relationship sooner if it hadn’t been for the pregnancy, Ari’s coma, and all the pain, because she could see that Ari always had genuine feelings for Mia, and no one wants to be second best.
When asked if Mac and Ari have a future together, Emily said that it’s necessary for the two to reconnect in some way, but she doesn’t believe they’re soulmates.
Emily also mentioned Tane’s role in the ectopic pregnancy storyline, saying that the two are still there for each other. She also hinted that the two still have a romantic relationship.
I believe there is still some hope. It hasn’t been released, but there seems to be a recurrent thing between Mackenzie and Tane that when each of them is going through a bit of trauma, they seem to locate each other for the briefest of moments and then it vanishes,” she explained.
It’s intriguing. There is something undiscovered between them, but I’m not sure if it will be completely implemented.
