Mac (Emily Weir) has been shooing people away as she ponders how to handle her unexpected pregnancy news.
She schedules an appointment at the clinic, but she decides to go alone after Dean (Patrick O’Connor) expresses his displeasure with her refusal to tell Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) anything.
Despite Ziggy’s (Sophie Dillman) best efforts, Mac effectively drives her out of the door, so she heads out with Tane (Ethan Browne) and the two end up partying until dawn. They have no idea that Mac has fallen on the floor in excruciating pain, with no one around to assist her…
The next day, while Ziggy and Tane crowd into a taxi, Mac stays on the floor and manages to get the phone close enough to make a call. Dean is concerned when she weakly says his name until the phone goes dead when she dials Dean’s number.
He goes around to the Farm House after his sister doesn’t pick up his follow-up calls and sees her on the floor through the glass. In his hurry to get inside, he kicks in the front door and runs her to the hospital.
Tori (Penny McNamee) quickly assesses the situation, determining that Mac is suffering from an ectopic pregnancy that has ruptured one of her Fallopian tubes. As Mac is rushed into emergency surgery, Ziggy and Tane arrive at the ER, and everyone realises Ari is just down the hall. Is he about to find out what Mac’s secret is?
