In Home and Away, Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) quarrels with her new business partner Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) about her ambitious plans for Salt.

After all of her previous difficulties, Mackenzie is now able to maintain running her bar/restaurant Salt, pay off her debts, and turn a new leaf thanks to Felicity Newman, who has joined her as a business partner.

But only a day after they were given the title of joint-owners of the Summer Bay hotspot, Flick and Mack are already fighting.

The co-owners get things going right away at first, but when Felicity wants to relaunch the company with a boom, cautious Mackenzie wants to play it safe and snubs her ideas, causing Felicity to storm out of their first business meeting!

Flick feels deflated and wonders if Mac would ever see her as an equal business partner.

Patrick O’Connor’s portrayal of Dean Thompson, Mac’s brother, attempts to keep out of the situation and bites his tongue. But he doesn’t take long to express his thoughts to his sister.

He calls Mac a control freak and points out that Felicity just saved her life; why then is she creating fights with her already?

Mac takes Dean’s counsel to heart after admitting to him that she’s finding it difficult to relinquish control and tells Felicity that she’s willing to consider her ideas.

Will there be any additional difficulties down the road even if Mac and Felicity appear to have worked things out?

The Parata home appears to be under the control of Bob (Rob Mallett), Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), Remi (Adam Rowland), and Kirby (Angelina Thomson), alias rock bank Lyrik.

The rowdy rockers are jamming in the living room while also leaving their instruments all around and creating a mess.

Tane Parata (Ethan Browne), unimpressed by his unruly and boisterous house guests, resolves to enforce the law.

Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), a lifeguard at Summer Bay, has been nominated for a bravery award, and Naomi Stevens (Jamaica Vaughan) has offered to accompany him to the ceremony.

But because it would seem a little bit like cheating, Nikau is reluctant to attend a posh awards party with Bella (Courtney Miller), who isn’t his girlfriend.

He worries that their friendship might develop into anything more, but Naomi claims that she only thought he could use the moral support with Bella in New York.

Has Nikau misjudged the circumstances? Maybe Naomi only wants to be friends?

When Nikau seeks his counsel, John Palmer (Shane Withington) remarks that if Bella is making new acquaintances in New York City, why can’t he do the same?

Nikau meets up with Naomi to apologise for upsetting her and accept her offer to go with him to the awards party after John gives him some food for thought.

Of course, just as a mate!

Later, when house visitor and fellow Lyrik band member Eden climbs into his bed at the Parata home, Nikau fears that another woman is trying to snag him.

What is she up to?

Channel 5 will continue to air Home and Away every day at 1:15 PM.
