While David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) waits for his sentencing, he tries everything he can to keep himself occupied. Life is lovely for a while, until things take a turn for the worst, and he finds himself in prison sooner than he imagined.

Since that awful day at River Bend, David’s life – including his marriage – has been difficult, so it’s a welcome relief when he’s able to take a much-needed vacation with Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) and spend some quality time together.

He’s on cloud nine, and it’s an opportunity for the couple to rekindle their relationship. Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) joins them for their final night away, and the two plan a sweet little day trip to commemorate David’s final bail check in.

Things are going so well that David has nearly forgotten that his sentencing is only a few days away.

The three decides to spend their final day on a leisurely boat cruise, but disaster strikes when the vessel runs out of fuel. Panic sets in as the trio realises what this means: not only are they stranded at sea with no hope of being rescued, but David will also be late for his bail check-in.

Nic is determined to get them out of the situation while David is panicking. She finds some emergency fuel after scouring the boat, and they are able to limp back to land. David exhales a sigh of relief, confident that he can save the situation, and the cops give him a warning. His relief is short-lived, however, as he is arrested and questioned. David has been classified as a flight risk and is being held on remand. What will David do if he gets sentenced to prison?

Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, June 20.
