In the season finale the following week, Ramsay Street will welcome seven more familiar faces.
The cast announcements have been coming thick and fast since since the Australian soap’s cancellation was made official, but there’s still room for more with a 37-year back catalogue to explore.
Yesterday (July 23), the Neighbors Twitter feed revealed: “Surprise! Did you really believe we were finished? We’re excited to announce that Carla Bonner, Margot Robbie, Jesse Spencer, Delta Goodrem, and Kym Valentine will all appear in the finale! #CelebratingNeighbours.”
With one exception from The Sun, who claims Robbie (who has spent the last few months filming the Barbie movie) appears in a specially filmed tape, Donna Freedman, Billy Kennedy, Nina Tucker, Libby Kennedy, and Stephanie Scully are all back on the street.
The same source also claims that Beth Brennan, Natalie Imbruglia, and Holly Valance from Flick Scully all the way from London made cameo appearances.
Imbruglia, the singer of the No. 1 cover song “Torn,” mentioned in February that she might return to the cast for a Neighbours finale.
“I would think about returning since I think it would be great to enter those doors. I mean, I’m not even going to recognise my son [on film], “She spoke.
She’s not the only one who misses playing the same part; Guy Pearce from Mike Young called the entire experience “surreal” after 30 years away.
