Home and Away Spoilers – Will Ryder make a shocking decision ?

Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Mackenzie is offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save her company, while Ryder receives his own unexpected offer… Accepting it, on the other hand, would mean saying goodbye!

Mackenzie (Emily Weir) has succumbed to temptation and is hosting a second illegal poker night at Salt next week in Summer Bay.

After Nathan Silva (Ryan Panizza) came to her for help last week after being beaten by some individuals he owed money to, she found herself in even more trouble. After losing the money at Salt’s first poker night, Nathan implored Mac to host another so he could win it all back.

She declined, instead giving Nathan the money she’d saved to pay the surf club’s rent, but she soon realised she was back at square one and felt she had no choice but to go ahead.

Mac is taken aback this week when Nathan reappears and repays her in full, plus interest. When Nathan arrives with a friend, PK (Ryan Johnson), who wants in on the poker night, it appears to be somewhat of a sweetener.

Mac is hesitant because there is a waiting list and they prefer to vet all of their players first, but when PK asks her to name her price, it doesn’t take long for Mac to decide to boot out one of the other players to make room for him, much to Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) chagrin.

Nathan’s belief that PK is one of the top poker players in the world is validated when he wins that evening. PK decides to make Mac an offer because he thinks he’s on to something good.

PK requests an exclusive poker night with one table and a buy-in of $500,000.

As Mackenzie considers the unusual offer, she tells Flick that just one table would bring in $50,000, which would be enough to pay off all of her obligations!

Is Mac on the verge of striking a deal with the devil?

Mac’s second-in-command Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich), who has been serving drinks and watching the glitzy events in admiration, would be extremely interested in a third poker night.

Flick caught Ryder honing his card shuffling talents in the backroom last week. Ryder inquired about working as a dealer during one of the events, but his request was quickly denied.

Instead, Ryder has been honing his croupier talents on buddies Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), Bella (Courtney Miller), and Chloe (Sam Barrett), and later stated that he was considering a career shift the next day.

This week, after telling his mother Quinn (Lara Cox), who works as a singer on cruise ships, about his ambitions over the phone, Ryder is startled when she responds with what appears to be the perfect job opportunity.

On a luxury cruise, there is an opening for a mixologist, but the ship also has its own gambling floor. Ryder would be able to train as a croupier while travelling across the world.

It’s almost too good to be true for Ryder, and he’s distracted at work when he offers Dean (Patrick O’Connor) a cocktail by accident.

Dean inquires as to what’s going on, hoping to obtain the beer he actually ordered, but Ryder uses the chance to quiz him on whether or not he wants to take the job, which starts next week!

Dean doesn’t seem to mind—the cocktail in front of him is progressively eroding his River Boy reputation—but after hearing Ryder’s entire spiel, Dean points out that possibilities like this don’t come around very frequently…
