Home and Away’s Rose Delaney, portrayed by Kirsty Marillier, is still reeling after her encounter with Senior Constable Cash Newman, a police partner, at the hospital (1:45pm – see our TV Guide for listings).
Cash is interested in learning more about what transpired on the day when Marty, the head of a biker gang, shot him.
But as the issue is still being looked into, Rose is unable to share all of the details just yet.
However, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis), Cash’s watchful sister, does not accept that as an explanation.
Felicity rushes over to Rose’s place after visiting Cash in the hospital and realising she fears her brother is about to have a mental breakdown.
After an enraged Felicity makes it plain that the police officer is to blame for Cash’s current predicament, Rose is struck speechless!
Cash is still having trouble at Northern District Hospital accepting that he caused the death of another man.
However, there might be hope as Rose defies convention and brings Cash the police report on his shooting.
A witness’ account of the altercation between Cash and Marty, the leader of a biker group, is in the file.
But WHAT took place?
Was Cash’s killing of Marty an act of self-defense?
Will the information in the police report be sufficient to relieve Cash of his guilt and internal conflict?
Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) is also concerned about his standing in the society while attempting to comfort his frightened girlfriend, Felicity.
Due to their connections to the biker gang, Tane and his nephew Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) have become the subject of rumours in the community.
Tane is unable to fully establish his innocence because doing so would require admitting that his late brother Ari had previously stolen money from an armed robbery and used it to purchase the neighbourhood gym.
However, on the Australian soap opera’s episode airing tonight, a kind soul approaches Tane and offers to assist him.
