As the must-see midseason final week of Home and Away kicks up tonight on Channel 7 in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games, a star is born, a heart is crushed, and lives are on the line.

Bad kid Tex (Lucas Linehan) and his gang of bikers may have reached their breaking point after weeks of causing mayhem in the Bay when Tane (Ethan Browne) and Rose (Kirsty Marillier) come up with a plan to end the dangerous criminals’ reign of terror once and for all.

The aftermath will stun the neighbourhood, though, with the stakes higher than ever.

Tane finds himself entangled in a criminal scheme to use his gym as a means of money laundering after being ruthlessly blackmailed by Tex and the bikies.

Tane is desperate and willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family because he has nowhere to hide and is worried for their safety.

a contrite Rose is left reeling after realising the man she has been sharing her bed with is a bikie. After discovering Tex’s real identity, Rose is solely interested in locking him up. Rose determines that Tane is somehow associated with Tex and his associates through honing her sleuthing abilities.

Tane and Rose work together after Rose learns the truth about the bikies extorting him. How far will Tane go to put an end to the bikies’ horror regime?

Nicholas Cartwright’s Lovesick Cash is getting ready for Sam Frost’s Jasmine to come back to Summer Bay. Cash has come to the conclusion that he is prepared to move forward with his longtime partner and make the ultimate commitment after some time away.

Cash works extremely hard to organise the ideal proposal, but will everything go as expected? Or will his entire universe crumble?

Theo (Matt Evans), who has been named the new lead vocalist of Lyrik, is caught between pursuing his goal and his TAFE apprenticeship. Theo is getting ready for his first Salt gig as the frontman for Lyrik, determined to show that he can do both.

However, Kirby (Angelina Thomson), Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), and Remi (Adam Rowland) start to worry when Lyrik’s newest member doesn’t show up for sound check. Has the band chosen the incorrect frontman to hedge their bets?

Will Theo fail when it’s time for him to shine? or swim?
