Mackenzie makes a choice about her pregnancy.

Mackenzie (Patrick O’Connor) recently informed Dean (Patrick O’Connor) of her pregnancy news, and her brother is saddened to hear that she has no plans to inform Ari. As he runs into Ari, he discovers that his friendship with Mia has also failed, so he tries to persuade him to at least mend fences with Mac. When Mac runs into Ari in the Surf Club, he offers her a sincere apology, reminding her of the love she once had. Would this have an effect on her decision to hold the baby or not?

Christian makes Marilyn fearful of her health.

After Lewis (Luke Arnold) expresses his disbelief in Christian’s abilities, the neurosurgeon starts to question his own abilities and fears he may have overlooked symptoms in other patients. When he sees Marilyn (Emily Symons) in the Diner being clumsy, he suspects he’s missed something since her recent collapse. Tori (Penny McNamee) tries to shut him down, but Christian starts asking Marilyn so many probing questions that she becomes terrified…

Tane dispenses some Parata-style vengeance.

Tane receives a text from Paul (Jack Finsterer) gloating about the hit-and-run while waiting for Ari’s diagnosis at the hospital. He decides it’s time to take matters into his own hands and begins making preparations to leave. Nikau attempts to discourage him, but Tane just thinks of one thing at a time. He tracks down Paul’s hiding place and drags him out of his car for some Parata-style revenge…

Ryder is perplexed by Chloe’s unexpected move.

Despite some tender moments during their abduction, Ryder and Chloe’s aggressive relationship has returned in the aftermath. After an emotional day in which the Paratas learn of Ari’s hit-and-run, Nikau retires to his room with Bella, leaving the two alone in the kitchen. Ryder stands up to leave, but Chloe sends him a sincere thank you for his assistance during the abduction before gently kissing him…
