As renowned couple Scott and Charlene Robinson make an unforgettable reappearance and join Ramsay Street residents past and present for the ultimate farewell, Neighbours is ready to conclude on a high note.
Next week, as Neighbours comes to an untimely end, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, who portrayed the legendary soap opera power couple in the late 1980s, will finally return to Erinisborough.
Although it’s unclear exactly what will bring Scott and Charlene back, a number of well-known characters from every season of the programme have appeared over the previous few weeks to commemorate the show’s finale.
In the meantime, Kylie posted some pictures of her Ramsay Street reunion with co-star Jason on Instagram last week, giving fans their first concrete glimpse of Scott and Charlene in their rightful place.
She wrote on Instagram, referencing her and Jason’s well-known song Especially For You, “Now we’re back together.”
But if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite for nostalgia, you’ll be happy to know that Neighbours has now teased the couple’s return with a series of breathtaking new images. Be right back; we’re just getting some tissues.
The new pictures show Charlene reuniting with her old friend Jane Harris (Annie Jones) when she arrives in Ramsay Street. One picture in particular shows the two of them hugging.

As they drink a glass of champagne on the balcony of No. 24, which will be for sale in later scenes, Scott and Charlene will also re-establish contact with Harold Bishop (Ian Smith) and Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).
Following news of the contentious cancellation of the show, Kylie and Jason’s reappearance was initially revealed in May.
Following that, a tweet from soap opera executive Jason Herbison stated that the show was “thrilled” to welcome them back.
The executive producer said, “Scott and Charlene are the quintessential Neighbours pair and it would not feel right to end the show without them.”
We’re overjoyed that Jason and Kylie are returning home to participate in a very special way in our series finale.
They, we, and I am certain that our viewers have all had an emotional experience.
While talking about her return, Kylie said: “It was amazing and emotional.” It was interesting entering Ramsay Street by vehicle.
“First of all, where’s all that time gone?” she asked Today Extra.
Second, everything appears to be same. Thirdly, memories of Scott, Charlene, Jane, and Harold suddenly flooded my mind.
There was a lot of nostalgia and looking backward in conversation.
Scott left Erinsborough the next year, in 1989, while Charlene was last seen there in 1988.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), a soap opera power couple, visited Brisbane earlier this year to take a break from work. Their 1988 wedding was shown to 20 million viewers in the UK.
These scenes will be seen in Neighbours on Friday, July 29 at 9 p.m. on Channel 5.
