After just marrying Hendrix Greyson in Neighbours, Mackenzie Hargreaves (played by Georgie Stone) should still be on her honeymoon.
Instead, TRAGEDY struck when difficulties arose following Hendrix’s lung transplant surgery.
Mackenzie is now a widow…
Mackenzie appears to be dealing with her sadness on the surface.
Grant (Paul Mecurio), her father, has travelled to Erinsborough to assist her.
Is Mackenzie, on the other hand, merely putting on a brave face to make people feel better?
Sadie Rodwell (Emerald Chan), her adolescent neighbour, pays her an unexpected visit. She is still attempting to make amends for her prior poor behaviour.
Sadie has written Mackenzie a letter apologising for her role in the Erinsborough High School fire, which resulted in heroic Hendrix’s lungs being destroyed.
In front of Grant and Sadie’s mother, Wendy, Mackenzie gracefully accepts the letter (Candice Leask).
Mackenzie, on the other hand, tears up the letter in private and appears to be on the verge of crying…
Kiri Durant (Gemma Bird Matheson) invited her long-lost father, Glen Donnelly (Richard Huggett), to her birthday party at The Waterhole in an attempt to mend their connection.
Glen, on the other hand, had to cancel the party at the last minute since he was starting to feel worse for wear while trying to kick his painkiller addiction cold turkey.
Unfortunately, Kiri has misinterpreted Glen’s absence and believes he has cold feet and is attempting to reject his daughter all over again!
Glen is trying to make amends with Kiri, who is furious with him.
But is he willing to explain that his absence from her birthday celebration was due to his relapse with drug issues?
Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has a fleeting sympathy for her soon-to-be ex-husband, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), whose son, David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), would be incarcerated in a maximum-security jail.
When legal eagle Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Maloney) reveals that Sapiko & Bazz Holdings appears to have gone bankrupt, Terese is reminded of what a shady dealer Paul is.
Terese, on the other hand, detects a rat.
Toadie discovers that Paul has been using the company to hide money from Terese ahead of their divorce settlement with the help of Byron Stone (Joe Klocek).
Terese is enraged that Paul is up to no good yet again.
Terese goes out to collect official proof of Paul’s shady operations, determined to beat him at his own game!
Neighbours airs on Channel 5 weekdays at 1:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
