Hendrix Greyson of Neighbours will die in heartbreaking scenes later this month.

Hendrix’s final scenes will air in the week beginning Monday, June 13 as popular cast member Ben Turland exits the role, according to advance spoilers.

After being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, Hendrix recently learned that he needed a lung transplant. The heroic rescue of Mackenzie Hargreaves in the Erinsborough High fire triggered his condition.

Hendrix was put on the transplant waiting list, but was later relieved when a match was found much sooner than expected.

The story’s conclusion has now been confirmed by online TV guides, which provide brief teaser spoilers up to two weeks before broadcast.

“Everyone tries to cope with Hendrix’s death, with guilt and support in equal measure,” according to one listing for Tuesday, June 14.

According to Digital Spy, Hendrix’s death storyline was already in the works before it was announced that Neighbours would be ending this year.

Ben had decided to leave the show at the conclusion of his contract.

Today’s news puts an end to the “who dies?” intrigue that arose after a recent Neighbours promo hinted at a funeral.

Following Channel 5’s decision to cancel Neighbours, show executives have promised an unmissable set of episodes to send the soap out in style.

“Following the loss of a significant broadcast partner in the UK, and despite a hunt for alternative funding, we presently have no option but to rest the show,” the show’s production firm said in a statement posted in March.

“Since the news broke, everyone at Neighbours has been touched by the outpouring of love and support from the audience.

“The show has transported a sunny piece of Australia into the homes of millions of people around the world, launching hundreds of popular names in the process.”

“However, as this chapter of Ramsay Street draws to a conclusion, we pledge to do everything in our power to give the programme the send-off it so richly deserves.”
