Tammin Sursok, a former star of Home and Away, has tested positive for Covid-19.

On Wednesday, she and her daughter Phoenix both tested positive for the virus, just months after her husband Sean McEwen nearly died from it.

The 38-year-old had been free of the virus for two years, but she expressed her disappointment after receiving a positive result, owing to the horrible experience her family had last year when her husband caught it.

Tammin posted a picture of herself in bed crying as she isolated on social media, stating that she suspects she contracted the virus from her daughter, who may have picked it up at school.

“Someone brought something home from school yesterday,” she captioned the photo.

“I eventually received Covid after two years of trying. I just tested positive after Phoenix tested positive. I can’t believe how quickly it spreads from one person to the next.”

Tammin is currently suffering from flu-like symptoms such as a runny nose, a’spicy’ cough, lethargy, and sweating.

“Phoenix is perfectly fine and eager to leave iso.” Lennon and Sean are currently negative, but they are the ones who worry me.”

She pleaded with her supporters to keep her husband and daughter Lennon in their prayers, as both have tested negative so far.

Last year, the family went through a scary period when Tammin’s husband Sean came close to passing away after a protracted battle with Covid.

Sean’s recovery took months, and Tammin said she had been wary of acquiring the virus since her husband’s hospitalisation last year, when she didn’t know “whether he was going to come through.”

“If there is a level of protection from the vax, I’m pleased I received it because oof I wouldn’t want it worse than this,” the actress assured her fans.
