The Bay receives word of Lewis’s fate.
Christian Green of Home and Away will shock Tori Morgan next week as he expresses sympathy for killer Lewis Hayes on UK television.
Despite almost losing his life in a horrific showdown with the vengeful nurse, Christian (Ditch Davey) refuses to bear a grudge against Lewis.
In this week’s Channel 5 episodes, Lewis (Luke Arnold) gives Christian a lethal injection in revenge for failing to save his late wife Anna.
Tori (Penny McNamee) saves Christian’s life by finding him just in time and performing CPR after his heart stops beating.
Lewis surrenders to the cops after receiving advice from his horrified girlfriend Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost), who urges him to accept responsibility for his behaviour.
Jasmine learns next week that Lewis will not have to stand trial because he has already admitted to attempting to murder Christian.
Lewis has also confessed to assassinating three of Christian’s hospital patients in an attempt to get his arch-enemy out.
When Christian and Tori discuss the troubling news, they seem to be on opposite sides of the issue.
Tori is still traumatised by her near-miss of losing Christian, so she has no sympathy for Lewis.
Christian, on the other hand, acknowledges that he sees Lewis as a survivor in the case as well, as he became mentally ill after losing Anna.
Tori is taken aback by Christian’s generosity, and she detects a broader shift in his perspective on life as a result of his near-death experience. Is Tori going to be able to adjust to the new Christian?
