Lately Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Mac (Emily Weir) are at a nice location, but that will change in the wake of Nikau’s coming back from New Zealand (Kawakawa Fox-Reo, which shows that his stepsister Chloe (Sam Barrett) is in town. Ari was thrown after 8 years without seeing her – and even Mac knew she didn’t exist.
Chloe’s mama, and former Ari’s Mia (Anna Samson) is standing at the door and wishing to see Chloe, to confuse it even more. But Chloe isn’t around for a number of days, which means that Mia worries about her daughter is increasingly tensed between her couple.
Once Ari confirmed that Chloe was healthy to Mia, he told her that he wanted answers. Mia needs to justify herself after hearing from Chloe that she thought he wouldn’t be part of their life. She claims she did this in order to defend Chloe, since she constantly asked her dad when she was a kid.
Although Ari admitted that all of them were affected by his prison term, he was annoyed that Mia told Chloe a lie. But then Mia talks further about how she had clashed with him, and Ari is thrown away from the relationship she already seems to have.
When Chloe comes back, she and Mia wind up in a fight over the lie she told about Ari’s going away. Mia ends up in Ari’s familiar arms without realising it – is it really over between them now that they are back to the lives of each other?
