In Home and Away, Tex Wheeler (played by Lucas Lineham) appears to be highly interested in the Parata family.
Hunky handyman Tex has won over the people in Summer Bay since he arrived.
He looks to be popular with everyone, but is he really perfect?
At the bait shop and campground, his supervisors Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) and Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) thought him so endearing that they couldn’t bear to fire him and instead have been finding things for him to do that don’t really need to be done!
He has also wooed “hot policeman” Rose Delaney (Kirsty Mariller), and after a few dates, the two are head over heels in love.
Tex seems like a decent person, but it turns out there’s a reason he’s in the Bay.
He questioned Tane Parata (Ethan Browne), the gym’s owner, about how he came to acquire it a few weeks ago when he went to check it out with the intention of joining.
Coincidentally, Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett) learned at the same time that her mother Mia and Ari Parata had purchased the gym fully without showing any signs of savings or a bank loan. She then discovered that Ari had committed an armed robbery to pay for everything.
After resolving to spend some time apart, Tex and Rose take a trip to the city. When they return, Tex immediately offers the locals another reason to think well of him by stepping in to protect Rose when she gets into an argument with Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright).
However, Xander (Luke Van Os), the brother of Rose, is sceptical of his sister’s affections for Tex, especially after she recently revealed to him that she was in love with Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright)!
However, it becomes obvious that Xander should be more concerned about what Tex’s motives are as he frets that Rose’s affections for Tex aren’t sincere.
When he returns to the gym and begins to look about the office, he is obviously up to something. Why is he spying on us? Why does a picture of Mia and Ari catch his attention? When Tex visits an industrial warehouse filled with leather-clad motorcyclists, many of whom welcome him with remarkable familiarity, everything becomes clear.
When a man requests for information, Tex displays the gym photo of Mia and Ari and claims that he has the support of the neighbourhood police officer.
What ties do Tex and these motorcyclists have? And why do they seem to be so intrigued with the Parata family?
As part of this episode… Ziggy Astoni’s (Sophie Dillman) announcement that she has been accepted into Theo Poulos’ (Matt Evans) apprenticeship is good news for Theo, and when Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) lashes out at Rose and nearly gets into a fight with Tex, it prompts him to make an emotional confession about his girlfriend Jasmine Delaney.
