On Home and Away, Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) is reeling from the SHOCK news regarding her mother Martha’s (Belinda Giblin) condition.
Since she was exposed to harmful chemicals during a tense circumstance at Salt, Martha’s health has deteriorated.
But it appears that Martha has waited too long to accept a long-awaited kidney donation that could extend her life…
Roo now regrets being so harsh on Martha when she initially refused to have the transplant done.
Perhaps Martha would have agreed to the surgery sooner if Roo hadn’t been so pushy?
Roo and her father, Alf (Ray Meagher), are heartbroken and unsure about what to do next.
However, some encouraging comments from a family friend, Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), inspire Roo to think of a solution to lift everyone’s moods.
Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich) enjoys participating in Salt’s TOP-SECRET poker games.
The restaurant bartender has made some extra cash and now wants to work as a poker dealer!
Unfortunately, no one has taken him seriously thus far.
So Ryder devises a plan to convince his buddies Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller) to join him in his poker dealer fantasies!
Mia Anderson (Anna Samson) and her daughter Chloe (Sam Barrett) are having another falling out.
Mia feels stuck in Summer Bay because there are terrible reminders of her short-lived spouse, Ari Parata’s death, everywhere.
However, Mia’s unrelenting anguish over Ari is too much for Chloe to bear.
She’s struggling with her own guilt and grief over the events that led to Ari’s death.
Chloe tries to establish some limits with Mia before she becomes even more overwhelmed.
Tane (Ethan Browne), Ari’s younger brother, has an unexpected suggestion that could help both Mia and Chloe find closure and serenity…
