On Home and Away, Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) is concerned when she learns that Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) has handed poker player Nathan Silva money to settle a debt.
Nathan, Felicity believes, is up to something nefarious.
He can’t possibly be in debt.
She made sure that all participants had their backgrounds checked before they were permitted to join the SECRET poker sessions at Salt after hours.
Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor), Mackenzie’s brother, is also concerned.
He assumes Nathan is being threatened for money by someone else.
What type of peril is Mackenzie putting herself in?
Meanwhile, Mackenzie’s outstanding rent for leasing her restaurant space from the Surf Club remains unresolved.
John Palmer (Shane Withington), the owner of the Surf Club, had already told Mackenzie to pay up.
She can’t since she handed Nathan the rent money to pay off his debt.
When Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) comes racing into Salt to address the unpaid rent, she’ll have to talk her way out of danger.
Will Mackenzie be able to talk herself out of trouble with Alf?
Dean is concerned about Mackenzie’s deterioration.
But what can he do about her money problems?
Is there a way for Dean to help Mackenzie pay off some of her bills without hurting her pride?
Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett) and her mother Mia are finally getting back on track (Anna Samson).
But the pressure to keep Mia cheerful is wearing her down.
Chloe isn’t convinced she’s up to the challenge.
For the sake of Chloe, Mia has decided to stay in Summer Bay.
However, she is finding it difficult to forget about her late husband, Ari Parata.
Can Chloe rise to the occasion and be there for her mourning mother when she discovers a lonely Mia crying to herself?
