When it comes to helping people get back on their feet, celebrity physiotherapist Jorge Zurita knows what he’s talking about.

The 27-year-old masseur from Sydney has told how he came to massaging the likes of Rita Ora, Dacre Montgomery from Stranger Things, and Sam Frost from Home and Away.

‘A lot of people come in because of word of mouth, people who see my viral TikToks, and those who come to ACERO,’ he told the Daily Mail Australia.

‘We’ve never advertised,’ Jorge continued. ‘We’ve never done anything like that.’

Jorge, who was born in Mexico, has a whopping 146,000 followers and two million likes on Instagram because to his funny personality and sloppy dance abilities.

The top three things Jorge warns all of his clients about are: not normalising pain, not stopping their gym routine while injured, and not skipping the warm-up and cool-down phases of a workout.

‘If your shoulder hurts a little bit or your knee hurts a little bit, see a doctor,’ he advised.

‘The sooner you have it checked, the quicker you will be able to get rid of it.’

‘A big error is believing it’s not that serious, and you don’t want to wait until it’s turned into a serious chronic injury.’

‘I’ve met a lot of people who quit doing physical activities when they get hurt, and it’s the worst thing you can do.’

‘First and foremost, consult your doctor or physiotherapist.’

‘Your physio will assist you in your recuperation by providing you with reliable information about what you can and cannot do.’

‘There will always be a way for you to continue with your physical activities without having to stop all of them,’ says the author. ‘Keep in mind that movement is life.’
