Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison has hinted Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan might have a bigger role in the finale than first reported.
Speaking to The Herald Sun on Wednesday, Jason said the recent leak didn’t fully explain the ’80s golden couple’s storyline in the episode.
‘What I’ve read is not what happens which is great. It hasn’t come out yet,’ said Herbison.

‘It’s nice that what I’ve read isn’t what happens.’ ‘It hasn’t been released yet,’ Herbison explained.
Jason remained tight-lipped about the couple’s looks, but he described them as “amazing” and that it was “emotional” for them.
‘Seeing Kylie again as Charlene was a surreal experience. Very special, and I believe it was a true complete circle for them as well,’ he told the outlet.
The wedding of Kylie and Jason on the series 34 years ago was watched by 22 million people in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Kylie’s choice to return to the drama after a successful music career was praised by fans.
Last week, leaked footage of the couple surfaced on social media.
The destiny of ’80s lovebirds Charlene and Scott as they return to the Aussie drama for its final episode was revealed in a leaked script last month.
According to Popbitch, the couple will return to Erinsborough at the end of the programme to deliver the final lines.
Scott and Charlene’s wedding is remembered fondly by Brits and Aussies as an important cultural occasion in the late 1980s.
Kylie and Jason, who were dating in real life at the time, were well-known in both nations and would go on to have successful music careers in the United Kingdom.
Their on-screen romance began when Scott mistook Charlene for an intruder at his next-door neighbour Madge Ramsay’s house, only to discover she was Madge’s daughter later.
After being married, the couple moved to Brisbane from Erinsborough.
Kylie left Neighbours in June 1988, having won four Logie Awards in a single year and being the youngest person to win a Gold Logie.
