The final episode of Neighbours will air in a few days, so it seems sense that the cast is considering their time in Erinsborough and what may be in store for them in the future.

Rebekah Elmaloglou, who portrays Terese Willis in the Australian soap, is one of those stars and has admitted that she isn’t quite ready to leave the soap industry just yet.

Rebekah stated that she has “always wanted to play an Aussie officer” in advance of viewers’ final journey down Ramsay Street, which will screen in the UK on Friday, July 29.

And she believes that a UK series would be happy to have her on board to accomplish that.

I adore British cop dramas, I responded, hoping to get a Happy Valley role. “My husband and I are dependent on Sarah Lancashire’s Happy Valley. We adore those kinds of shows, therefore I’d love to play a cop or detective in one of them.

Rebekah is willing to join a British soap opera as well, describing the nation’s passion for all things soap opera as “huge.”

She remarked, “They have some soaps in England, so to me they have a huge, popular notion, massive.” Why not work on a soap opera in the UK?

The Neighbours legend is open-minded when it comes to which made-up town she’d want to visit and would be delighted to go anywhere from Weatherfield to Walford.

“I’m not sure which one because they’re all so good and have lasted as long as Home and Away and Neighbours did. There are a lot of them, aren’t there?

“There are Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, and EastEnders. It’s very great, I mean. I don’t know, really, whoever wanted me!
