Former Home and Away actor Bob Morley and ex-Neighbours actress Eliza Taylor have given birth to a child.
After keeping Eliza’s pregnancy a secret for over nine months, the two Aussie soap stars confirmed their good news in a touching Instagram post on Sunday.
“Though sleep is well and truly a thing of the past, we could not be happier,” Eliza laughed as she shared a lovely photo of her baby’s foot with her 3.2 million Instagram followers.
In February, the couple revealed they were expecting a child on Instagram, sharing their life-changing news with their followers.
The celebs shared a photo of three pairs of slippers with the names Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear, as well as one tiny pair of booties for their unborn baby.
Bob wrote in the caption to his photo: “Preparing for one of the most important jobs in history. We can’t wait to fill those big shoes!”
“Our route to pregnancy was not always smooth sailing,” Taylor wrote, explaining why they had kept their pregnancy a secret.
“However, we are overjoyed to report that our little bundle is on its way.”
It comes after sister Australian serial Neighbours was axed after 37 years, prompting Home and Away star Sophie Dillman to express fear for the show’s future.
The actress who plays Ziggy Astoni says she was “devastated” by the cancellation of Neighbours.
“It was such an iconic Australian television show,” Sophie added. It was an excellent launching pad for not only actors, but also cast, crew, and directors.
“I knew a lot of individuals who were working on it, and it’s very sad to see.”
“I’m not sure how this will affect Home And Away. We were all devastated when we found out.”
Home And Away and Neighbours are both broadcast on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom, although their production companies are not the same.
