Following the tragic death of Hendrix Greyson, Karl and Susan Kennedy (Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne) were among those left distraught in Neighbours (Ben Turland).
As viewers know, the soap stars have been like parents to Hendrix, taking him in when he had no one else to look after him and supporting him throughout his life.
Hendrix, on the other hand, was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis earlier this year and required a lung transplant, which he received last week.
Despite this ray of optimism, tragedy struck when Hendrix’s body rejected the lung transplant, leaving him with only a few hours to survive.
Before passing away in tragic scenes, he spent the final few moments of his life telling his loved ones, especially Karl, Susan, and wife Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone), how much he loved them.
The Channel 5 soap picked up shortly after his tragic death on Tuesday’s (June 14) episode, with Mackenzie unwilling to leave his bedside.
Toadie (Ryan Moloney) stepped in and led Mack out of the room, distraught.
Meanwhile, Karl and Susan came home, where they welcomed their renter Levi Canning (Richie Morris) before sobbing at the awful loss.
The couple, as well as all of Hendrix’s close ones, would be shocked to learn that Hendrix had asked Zara Zelwyn (Freya Van Dyke) to make a video message in which he revealed preparations for his memorial service.
Susan, Karl, and Mackenzie were overcome with emotion as they viewed the video and saw their beloved Hendrix one last time.
You’re crying, not laughing.
Neighbours returns to Channel 5 on Wednesday, June 15 at 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.
