Matt Evans of Home and Away has disclosed that a cherished character on the enduring soap show is on the verge of demise. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter and actor, who initially rose to fame as a 2019 The Voice competitor, revealed the shocking news live on The Morning Show on Friday.
He looked directly into the camera and said, “All I can say is next week a stranger will come into the Bay and someone will die,” frightening broadcasters Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
Although he did not specify which character would be leaving Summer Bay, several guesses and hints have already been posted on fan pages across social media.
A brunette woman who was seriously injured was being held by Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) as he yelled, “She’s been shot!” in leaked video from a stressful scene that was filmed in Palm Beach in December 2023. Someone someone dial an ambulance!
This narrative will probably appear shortly because the series shoots five to six months in advance.
Since much of the recent plots have centered on Cash protecting Hollywood actress Stevie Marlow (Catherine Văn-Davies) from a crazy admirer who is stalking her, most viewers are certain that Cash will be the one to die.
Others, meantime, have surmised that Cash’s girlfriend, Stephanie Panozzo’s Eden Fowler, might have been shot.
Who else is said to be moving out of the Bay?
Shortly after Yahoo Lifestyle broke the rumors that Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) is leaving the show—which is still very likely—Matt dropped this massive teaser.
Recently, admirers haven’t been able to catch the celebrity filming on set; a security officer informed them that she had “stopped filming and is overseas.”
“I heard from a fan earlier this month that someone went to Palm Beach today and was informed that she’s currently abroad and uncertain about her return, suggesting that she’s departing from the show and has stopped filming.”
“Her contract had expired, and it’s unclear if she received a new offer. Given that she has been working on other movies, she most likely didn’t want to sign another one.
