The biggest story in Summer Bay is about the abandoned infant that local gym owner Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) found on the beach. Tane Parata appears on Home and Away (1:45pm; check our TV Guide for listings).
The mother of “Baby Maia” has been publicly urged to come forward by Serjeant Rose Delaney (Kirsty Marillier).
Meanwhile, a young man with a dubious appearance shows up at the Surf Club and begins to interrogate people.
When the man turns out to be Peter Rolfe (Roman Delo from the comedy-drama series Bump), an investigative journalist from The Coastal News, Ray Meagher’s character Alf Stewart is not impressed.
Peter is adamant about getting the best of both the child and her “welfare cheat” mother!
Peter is abruptly ejected from the Surf Club by Alf.
But the news junkie isn’t giving up so quickly.
Clever Peter gets an idea when he witnesses Dana Matheson (Ally Harris) and her sister Harper (Jessica Redmayne) distributing flyers asking for information on baby Maia’s mother’s whereabouts.
Later, Peter approaches Dana and puts on the charm without disclosing who he really is.
Will Dana unintentionally give up CONFIDENTIAL information about Tane and the baby as she’s gushing over Peter?
Catherine Van-Davies’ character Stevie Marlow is not used to rejection.
Stevie is upset when Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) kindly declines her offer to serve as her personal bodyguard.
Stevie arrives at the door in a luxurious limo as Cash is getting along with his girlfriend Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo) in the middle of the day!
Despite the unsatisfactory outcome of the job interview, Stevie makes another try to win Cash over.
Since her MYSTERY stalker is still out there, she needs someone she can trust.
If Stevie accepts the job, will he consent to abide by the ex-copper’s rules?
