Dean almost knocks on a door, clutching things to begin the episode.
He goes to knock — presumably on the door to his bedroom, where Amber and Jai are sleeping while he’s on the couch — but he pauses too long, and Bella comes home to pick up some things before leaving again to camp out with the gang at Nikau’s place.
But it’s not all bad because Bella gives Dean permission to use Colby’s bed. So Amber and Jai relocate there.

Basically, Dean’s feelings for Amber have resurfaced in the last day since she and Jai have started playing happy families, which is extremely convenient for Dean considering his recent breakup with Ziggy.

But she blames Jai and claims that it isn’t just her who might be hurt, despite the fact that she admitted to Mac the other day that she was once in love with Dean.
At the fitness centre Zig has learned about what happened to Ari, and we get a close-up look at a tiny amount of blood on Tane’s knuckles.
It’s such a tiny amount of blood that it may have the reverse effect of telling us that Tane bashed Paul — as if last night’s conversation between Nik and Tane “dealing with Paul” wasn’t convincing enough.
Tane says to Ziggy as they walk along the beach in the dark, “I keep thinking if Ari dies, it’ll be my fault.”

Tane accepts Zig’s help, and the two have a nice talk about not keeping secrets from each other.

Chloe thanks Ryder for being so courageous and “amazing” during the abduction ordeal at the Parata building.
“I don’t know how I would have been without you,” she says as she steps towards him and leans in for a kiss.
Ryder is shocked and befuddled for the majority of the show.
To be honest, they were mortal enemies until a few moments ago, but Ryder should have known better after all these years on the show. Every new character starts off as a bad guy before softening up.
The next day at work, Chloe wants to talk about the kiss, but Ryder isn’t sure what to think.
Bella overhears them discussing a “kiss” and continues to tell Nik about the “potential gossip” and “weird feeling” she senses between them.
Ryder receives advice from Alf on matters of the heart.
“Do all women remain a mystery?” Ryder inquires.
However, Alf is not in the mood and loses his cool.
“There’s more going on than your new romantic nonsense,” Alf chastises his grandchild because Martha thinks her delusions are valid.
Ryder and Roo are concerned about him, and Alf receives a phone call from the hospital in the midst of his apology.
Martha has gone missing.
