Channel 5 to air two Neighbours specials after final episode

After Friday, July 28, when the final episode of Neighbours airs, Channel 5 has announced that they would air two special Neighbours documentaries.

The final episode of Neighbours will air in a little more than a week. With a big finale that promises magic for everyone as the past and present meet, the Ramsay Street soap opera is coming to an end after 37 years.

On Friday, July 28th, the final three episodes will be broadcast in the UK, one day after they do so in Australia.

The first of the three episodes will show on Channel 5 at its customary daytime times of 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m., while the second and third episodes will air as part of an hour-long special starting at 9 p.m.

When Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie Pearson get married, a number of the show’s biggest stars from the 1980s, including Scott (Jason Donovan) and Charlene (Kyle Minogue) themselves, mix with the present cast in a huge street party (Lucinda Cowden).

The UK network will screen two special Neighbours specials following the final episode: Neighbours Made Me A Star at 10:05 p.m. and Neighbours Greatest Hits at 11:30 p.m.

My close friends made me a star

Channel 5 explores the Neighbours archive to pay respect to the inhabitants of Ramsay Street and the celebrities it launched to prominence as we say farewell to Erinsborough after nearly four decades on our screens.

The most beloved characters from the show are honoured in this 90-minute episode along with their post-Erinsborough professions.

Nearly 20 million British viewers watched the wedding of Charlene and Scott, the country’s favourite sweethearts, in 1988. We hear from their coworkers who noticed their passion and ambition in those early days, when viewers had no idea the two would go on to storm the charts and tread the boards in the West End.

The show also chronicles Nina Tucker’s (Delta Goodrem) remarkable musical career, which was launched by the show when her plotline had her singing her own songs.

Additionally, Neighbors Made Me A Star examines the accomplishments of Mike Young (Guy Pearce) and Donna Freedman (Margot Robbie), who battled Hollywood and even earned an Oscar nomination.

The programme also features interviews with the stars who continued in the series or came back, receiving the grimiest of plotlines — including affairs, sad deaths, and transformations — and emerging as well-known figures as a result.

Exclusive interviews with members of the cast and crew, such as Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Ryan Moloney (Toadie), Annie Jones (Jane Harris), Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), and Alan Fletcher are featured in the special documentary (Karl Kennedy).

It also has an interview with Jan Russ, the outstanding casting director for Neighbours who brought in some of the show’s biggest stars.

Neighbors’ Best Songs

Pop star after pop star has launched their careers on Ramsay Street. A selection of Erinsborough’s best musicians—as well as some of our guilty pleasures—are presented in the second of the evening’s special programmes by Channel 5.

This is a celebration of Australian music and videos, from pop princesses to one-hit wonders.

While global superstar Kylie Minogue (Charlene Robinson) dominated the charts for decades and all over the world, Jason Donovan (Scott Robinson), the movie’s leading man, provided fans at least “Ten Good Reasons” to swoon. While this was going on, Delta Goodrem (a.k.a. Nina) dominated the Australian charts and amassed 9 number one songs.

And although some would establish themselves as musical staples, other artists would dominate the charts for a slightly shorter period of time.

In the music video for the song “Don’t It Make You Feel Good,” who could forget Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson) and his leather jacket? or Holly Valance (Flick), a seductive singer, giving out kisses? What about Natalie Imbruglia (Beth Brennan) ripping down the home with “Torn” in the 1990s?

However, not everyone pursued their goals alone. Enter Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Izzy Hoyland), who joined the electropunk band Rogue Traders and achieved a UK number 3 with their song “Voodoo Child.”

The three-part finale of Neighbours airs in Australia on Thursday, July 28, at 7:30 p.m. on channels 10 and 10 Peach.

The final three episodes will air on Channel 5 on Friday, July 29th, for UK audiences.
