Following Channel 5’s decision to cancel the show, producer company Fremantle Media was unable to find a new home for the popular soap.

Stars including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, and Margot Robbie got their start in the tea-time drama.

After 30 years apart, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donavan are set to film the final episode, according to reports. For the show’s poignant finale, the two will reconnect as the much-loved characters Charlene and Scott.

“Scott and Charlene are the ultimate Neighbours couple and it would not feel right to end the show without them,” executive producer Jason Herbison wrote on the program’s official Twitter account.
