Sarah Roberts’ Summer Bay stint has come to an end, and we’re torn between how we feel about it.
One part of us is ecstatic that Willow’s character is getting the happily-ever-after she deserves, while another part of us is a grumpy kid who doesn’t want to see her go.
Her Home And Away co-stars have been secretly missing her for months since she wrapped filming, and we’re not the only ones who have noticed her absence.
The stars of Summer Bay took to Instagram to express their feelings about Willow’s departure as she said her goodbyes on screen last night, driving off into the sunset.
“Good-bye to my beautiful on screen sis,” Courtney Miller, who plays Bella on the show, began with a tribute to Sarah, writing: “Good-bye to my beautiful on screen sis.”
Patrick O’Connor, who plays Willow’s best friend Dean, posted a cute photo of a polaroid that had been taken.
He wrote, “Goodbye to my best on-screen pal,” and added, “We miss you dearly.”
He then went on to post another photo of Sarah in the backseat of a car, captioning it, “Your facial expressions really were the best.”
Of course, Zoe Ventoura aka Alex, her real-life best friend and on-screen love, expressed her joy in their mutual happy ending.
“…and they lived happily ever after…@sarahroberts @homeandaway,” Zoe captioned a cute photo of their characters together on Instagram.
Sarah’s co-stars Tim Franklin, Sam Frost, Ditch Davey, and husband James Stewart were all by her side, holding a screening party for the final episode.
Sam posted a photo of the party enjoying Sarah’s last scene on the sofa.
Sam captioned the adorable picture, ” “Willow, byeeeeeee WE CARE SO MUCH For YOU.”
Sarah revealed to Now To Love that her co-stars were the ones she’d miss the most when she left the show.
“I feel like there are lifelong friendships,” she said. “I mean, I got a husband and a beautiful step-daughter out of this work.”
“We all start to feel like family. And you start to worry that you’ll never see someone again, but my husband is always on the show, and I’m currently dating Tim Franklin, with whom I just had coffee on the beach.”
