Justin (James Stewart) has found out recently that Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) will be out of service for at least five more weeks, so she wants some support in the garage. Ziggy sells Tane (Ethan Browne) to him, amid Justin’s reservations, as the right man for the job.
Tane is thankful that another gig has landed in his lap after just leaving his job at Salt, and the pair go to Salt to celebrate. Dean (Patrick O’Connor) is less than amused, however, even when Willow (Sarah Roberts) tells him it’s probably nothing, to see them look happy together.
Dean ‘s mood does not change, and Amber’s (Madeleine Jevic) does not, either. She later marches into Salt on the warpath and sees Ziggy and Tane enjoying dinner together, unable to track him down. Ziggy tells Amber smugly that she now knows why Dean went off earlier with her.
Amber doesn’t have any of it, however, and retaliates that her date with Tane is actually what put Dean in a dirty mood. Ziggy is flummoxed and discusses the true reason for being together, but Amber insists it’s worth it for Tane, leaving Ziggy disgusted.
It is not long before Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) turns up and the pair are up in arms when Tane starts at the garage. Ziggy sends Ari away, driving the brothers apart, and gets Tane to open up. As they bond over what they want from life, the pair get to know each other …
