Amber (Madeleine Jevic) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor) have been at odds over their son Jai (River Jarvis) in recent weeks, with Amber consistently threatening Dean with no access until she agrees with him.
Dean and Jai are missing now, and Amber is starting to wonder about where they may have gone. Willow (Sarah Roberts) and Colby (Tim Franklin) are both starting to believe that something is wrong.
Meanwhile, Dean took Jai to a house that he used to use when he was a River Boy as a hideout. Telling Jai that it’s the house of an old friend, they settle in.
Dean leaves a message with Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) saying he’s decided to leave and says farewell, starting to enjoy the lack of tension there compared to life in Summer Bay.
Back in the lake, Amber is concerned about herself and thinks she’s going to need to call the police soon. When she’s fretting, Dean makes arrangements to flee with his son to Queensland…
