Sally Fletcher is one of the most well-known characters in Summer Bay, and actress Kate Ritchie rose to prominence in the role at the age of eight.

She was a popular favourite on the Australian serial, which has been broadcast in Irish homes in the early evening for decades.

She first appeared on the show in 1986 and went on to become one of the longest-running characters on the show before leaving in 2013. Here’s everything you need to know about her life since she left the drama.

Katie was born on August 14, 1978, in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia, and has progressed from child star to children’s television host.

She left Home and Away in September 2013, just before she became pregnant with her daughter Mae Webb, who was born three days before her mother’s birthday on August 14th, 2014.

Kate told The Australian Women’s Weekly that she enjoyed being a mother and that it was her genuine calling.

“I think she’s divine, she’s the best success I’ve ever had and she’s amazing,” the former Home and Away star said of her daughter in a 2015 interview with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies on The Morning Show.

Kate gave birth to her daughter with Stuart Webb, a rugby player with whom she began dating in 2008.

However, things between the couple apparently turned stormy, and the former couple is now estranged, according to Australian media reports.

Kate, on the other hand, has refuted this, and was obliged to reply to the rumours in 2018 after the pair went years without being seen together or posting about one another on social media.

“Of course, this is incorrect. Of course, it’s unfounded. But I don’t want to say anything else about it because I know that if I do, it will come back to life, which I don’t want to do “Kate expressed herself.

“I’ve had to learn not to be affected by it. So I make a conscious effort not to be affected by it “The Australian Women’s Weekly reported on her comments.

The pair got engaged in 2009 and married just a few months later at the opulent Quamby Estate in Tasmania.

In recent years, she has been linked to various potential love partners.

While Katie frequently updates her fans and followers on her daughter Mae, she and her husband keep their personal lives private – and Katie has plenty of opportunities to discuss because she hosts one of Sydney’s most popular radio shows.

Katie is a member of the Nova drive team Kate, Tim & Joel, and broadcasts on Nova FM weekdays from 3pm to 6pm with Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey.

Kate has also written two highly successful children’s books and three cookbooks, as well as hosting ABC’s Play School Story Time, which reads to children.

She’s also a pro at securing big endorsement deals, having served as the face of QV Skincare and Jockey Underwear.
