Neil Patrick Harris and Alesha Dixon are announced as new judges on Australia’s Got Talent – joining Kate Ritchie and Shane Jacobson in revamped line-up for 2021

On Sunday, the judging panel for Australia’s Got Talent 2021 was revealed.

Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Alesha Dixon (UK music sensation) will join an all-star panel of Australian musicians, including Kate Ritchie and Shane Jacobson.

‘To say I enjoy the American Idol franchise is an understatement.’ ‘I’ve been a fan since the first season,’ Neil explained.

‘Australia has amazing talent in so many disciplines, and I couldn’t be more excited to join AGT in 2021 to witness what the country’s incredible candidates have to offer,’ he said.

Alesha, on the other hand, is a seasoned talent show judge who has judged on both Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent.

‘I’m ecstatic to be joining the AGT panel,’ she remarked. I’m excited to see what Australia has to offer in terms of talent, and I’m looking forwards to working with my other judges.’

Filming for the new season will commence at the end of the month, with production taking place from June 30 to July 6 at the Star Event Centre in Sydney.

Neil, his spouse David Burtka, and their two children are due to arrive in Australia soon.

Meanwhile, Ricki-Lee Coulter, a former Australian Idol contestant, will return to host the event.

Shane appeared alongside Lucy Durack, Nicole Scherzinger, and Manu Feildel in the 2019 season of American Idol.

From 1987 through 2007, Kate was best recognised for her role as Sally Fletcher on Channel Seven’s Home and Away.

Kate returns to television after an eight-year hiatus to focus on her radio career with her new job on AGT.
