In Neighbours, Hendrix (Bennie Turland) and Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) have finally declared their affections for one other and are love’s youthful dream, but their romance will have ramifications, beginning with Harlow (Jemma Donovan).
After repressing their feelings for a while, the new couple is finally able to rest in each other’s presence during their flowery, rose-tinted honeymoon period. They’re thrilled to start moving things farther now that it’s out there.
But, before they can get too carried away, there’s a stumbling block in the form of Harlow (Jemma Donovan). They decide she has to know before they go to the next base. But, given Harlow’s recent tragedy with Brent, hearing that her closest friend and ex-boyfriend are hooking up might be the lighted match in the powder barrel.
Mackenzie wants to wait a bit before telling Harlow, which means they’ll have to put their relationship on hold. Is Hendrix up to the task? But even he realises that revealing his love for Harlow is more difficult than revealing their affections for each other.
But they’re frail, and they have desires. Who are we to blame them? The new pair can’t keep their hands off one other and give in to their wants in a hot moment.
And, according to Murghy’s Law, Harlow appears at the wrong place at the wrong time, strolling in on their PDA.
All of her intentions to shield her feelings have gone out the window, and their friendships are now on a knife’s edge. What will Harlow’s reaction be when she learns what’s been going on and that they didn’t inform her? Is this the end of their friendship?
