Lukas Radovich, who plays Ryder Jackson in the popular Australian serial, has announced his resignation.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram to express his sentiments over finishing his five-year run as Jackson, Alf Stewart’s grandson (Ray Meagher).
“What an amazing journey. I’ll make it brief because I can’t adequately articulate how the last five years have felt or changed my life. I’ll miss the job, but I’ll miss the people much more “Radovich composed.
One of the soap’s few same-sex plot lines involved Radovich’s character being nearly kissed by his character’s former best buddy Ty.
In a cliffhanger episode he characterised as “difficult,” he also survived being buried alive when a prank went bad.
“I knew it was going to be big when I saw my name on the call list for the entire day,” he told 7News.
“It was difficult to learn while being covered in mud for so long. It was, nevertheless, the most satisfying.”
