Sophie described being nominated as an honour after having played Ziggy Astoni in Summer Bay since June 2017.

Sophie described the other women nominated in the category as “some of the biggest names in Australian television.”

‘I never imagined I’d be able to meet these people, never alone have my name listed among them, so the nomination is actually the big deal,’ she said.

Sophie is up against Deborah Mailman and comic Kitty Flanagain in the Total Control category, and comedian Kitty Flanagain in the Fisk category.

‘They are such role models and inspirations for me that it’s like meeting your heroes when you’re a small kid,’ Sophie added.

The Logies is building up to be one of the year’s most important events.

For the first time in seven years, Rogue Traders will take the stage. Calum Scott, a British singer, will also perform.

Lachie Gill, the winner of The Voice Australia, will perform his first single Wasted Time to kick off the day’s entertainment.
