Sophie, 29, acknowledged to The Sunday Telegraph last week, ‘I am frightened.’

‘And I’m not very good at keeping a game face,’ she continued,’so you’ll see me star-struck and unable to talk in complete phrases.’

Sophie described being nominated as an honour after having played Ziggy Astoni in Summer Bay since June 2017.

Sophie described the other women nominated in the category as “some of the biggest names in Australian television.”

‘I never imagined I’d be able to meet these people, never alone have my name listed among them, so the nomination is actually the big deal,’ she said.

Sophie is up against Deborah Mailman and comic Kitty Flanagain in the Total Control category, and comedian Kitty Flanagain in the Fisk category.

‘They are such role models and inspirations for me that it’s like meeting your heroes when you’re a small kid,’ Sophie added.

The Logies is building up to be one of the year’s most important events.
