Sarah Roberts of Home and Away has said she was “hesitant” to quit the show.
The actress, who played Willow Harris for over three years, made her last appearance on Australian television earlier this month, with her character seeking to reconnect with her ex-boyfriend Alex Neilson in Queensland.
Sarah told Stellar on Friday that she would have prefered to stay on the Summer Bay soap.

She said, “I was open to staying on the show.” I was hesitant to say goodbye to Home and Away because it had truly become my family.
But I had a feeling my character’s time had come to an end, and I was glad that she got a happy ending; she wasn’t killed off, so there’s always the possibility of a sequel.
Sarah explained that her last day on set was difficult for her, but she has since had time to reflect on her time on the Australian soap.
She described her final day of filming as “very emotional.” It was difficult to say goodbye to everyone.

It’s impossible to get enough of Home and Away. We’d been shooting six days a week for three years, so the prospect of stopping was terrifying.
But now that I’ve had some time to decompress, I’ve realised there’s more to life than the display.
Sarah recently spoke about meeting her husband, Justin Morgan’s actor James Stewart, on set.
