Johnny Ruffo has provided an update on his brain cancer battle.
The singer and former Home and Away actor shared a photo of himself giving the thumbs up while receiving treatment at a Sydney hospital on Instagram and Facebook.
The 33-year-old captioned the photo, Been busy fighting the good fight.
Another round down… on to the next, says the narrator.
A range of friends and former co-stars left supportive comments under his message.
Hey mate, you got this, Lynne McGranger wrote. Please let me know when you and Tahnee are available. I have to prepare food.
Kicking the s**t to the kerb like a friggin rock star, Larry Emdur said.
Georgie Parker said, Go buddy, you’re awesome Johnny, lots of love.
Ruffo’s girlfriend, Tahnee Sims, also shared a photo, saying she is forever proud of her partner as he fights cancer.
Ruffo was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 and announced in 2019 that he had recovered.
However, in November 2020, Ruffo revealed that his cancer had returned in an Instagram update.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know that after an unforeseen week of seizures and debilitating headaches, I now have another big fight ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned, but I will dig deep and conquer this s**t, he wrote.
