Home and Away is about to take its annual break on Channel 5, but as Dean is pushing to the edge over his son Jai, the show leaves us on a huge cliffhanger.
Meanwhile, after reverting to his criminal ways, Tane brings trouble to Ziggy ‘s door.

Tane has been caught up with no good
Tane kept a van full of stolen goods in the garage overnight, after returning to his criminal ways. He manages to get the car going before Ziggy notices, but this becomes impossible when his dodgy contacts go quiet.
Ziggy, needing a cover story, tells Tane that the van belongs to a customer who forgot to pick it up again. Tane is caught out in his lies when Ziggy returns to the garage after dark, however, and overhears him making an incriminating phone call about the scenario.
Ziggy comes to the rescue of Tane
Ziggy is horrified by the actions of Tane and challenges her decision to give him the garage job in the first place. While the garage may be affected by this troubling situation, Ziggy chooses not to tell Justin, who has taken a step away from the company to concentrate on his recovery.
By letting Tane store the van at her location before he finds someone to take it off his hands, Ziggy comes up with a temporary solution. Tane’s thankful for the support, but we’re left to wonder if Ziggy’s going to regret coming to his rescue.
Justin hears his options for treatment
Justin’s tumour is growing again and Christian runs through his medical options. He will undergo surgery, or go through a radiotherapy course to shrink it, in the hope of removing more of the tumor this time.
Justin struggles to pick from any option, as he doesn’t want to keep going under the knife, but he also knows that radiotherapy is going to be a slower and harder operation.
As Justin later opts for radiotherapy, Tori refuses his decision before Christian talks any sense into it.
Jasmine is worried about Tori and Christian
Tori takes the chance to quiz Christian about his history as Tori and Christian head out for dinner together. He reveals his prior marriage information, stating that he and his wife tied the young knot and eventually desired multiple items. As he walks home later and doesn’t give her a goodnight kiss at the door, Tori worries she’s put Christian off with her questions.
Tori and Christian try to chat the next morning about the conflicting messages and mishaps they’ve been facing so far throughout their relationship. Jasmine sees Christian retaining Grace only as they work it out and gets nervous, fearing that Robbo will be replaced.
Jasmine reveals that she’s having problems
When Jasmine proceeds to act coldly, Tori asks what’s going on.Finally, Jasmine admits that after the tragic death of Robbo, it was painful to watch Tori play with Christian’s happy family.
He worries that she is falling back into old obsessive habits, when Justin learns about the remarks made by Jasmine. But when Tori takes the time to talk to Jasmine, they manage to talk to him about things.
Finally, Angelo discovers the truth.
Angelo is growing profoundly suspicious of the connection between Colby and Taylor, persuaded that there was something going on between them. When he sneaks a peek at Taylor ‘s phone to discover that her entire call history has been erased, he is concerned, proving she has something to hide.
Angelo misused his position in the police department in order to gain access to Taylor’s phone records. He’s devastated to see that she has regularly called Colby ‘s number in recent weeks. Finally, the affair is out.
Angelo ‘s starting to fight back
Although he does not disclose what he knows, by telling her that Colby was probably Ross’s murderer, Angelo attempts to rattle Taylor. Angelo watches from afar and takes pictures of them kissing while Taylor meets with Colby to discuss this.
Angelo later offers a necklace as a present to Taylor and encourages her never to take it off. Taylor doesn’t know it’s a secret bug Angelo uses to eavesdrop on Colby ‘s conversations.
Dean is getting a threat
Dean continues his efforts to convince Amber that Jai should be allowed to meet his mother, Karen. As Amber doesn’t trust Karen enough to play any part in Jai ‘s life, this proves to be fruitless.
With Amber ‘s attitude towards co-parenting, Dean is starting to get annoyed, as she seems to want something on her terms. When circumstances alter, he threatens to bring her to court.
This warning is not going well with Francesca, Amber’s aunt, who is trying to warn Dean of the consequences if he legally challenges her family.
Tensions over Jai led to a dramatic decision
Mac soon gets entangled in the chaos surrounding Jai ‘s future when she challenges Amber in the surf club, which almost starts a fight. In his determination to go through the legal system to secure an official agreement that infuriates Amber and her mother, Dean is still adamant.
Francesca stirs up the situation by sending Dean an envelope outlining his criminal convictions, seeking to prove that he has little hope of a custody fight. Dean goes off to Amber ‘s house to discuss this, but finds Jai all alone while he was supposed to be looked after by Francesca. Dean makes a drastic decision and takes Jai without permission.
Nikau is getting a tempting offer
Nikau receives an unexpected call from Gemma, his aunt, who announces that she will no longer return to Summer Bay. Instead, she’ll be remaining in New Zealand, enabling her to be closer to her own mother, who is now getting older.
Gemma invites Nikau to come and live with her in New Zealand and he gives serious consideration to the idea of his girlfriend, Bella. Nikau also goes to Colby and demands that the block on his passport be removed, allowing him to move forward.
Despite her initial worries, Bella tries to take a selfless approach by aiding Nikau. Will they really be torn apart?
Ari is making a shocking discovery
Ari is unaware that Nikau is planning to leave Summer Bay before he receives the news from Marilyn second-hand.
Ari is upset that he has not been trusted by Nikau, but fails to get in contact with him as he has been away for a few days with Bella. How would Ari feel about Summer Bay ‘s future without Nikau there?
