We are overjoyed that Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have given fans a sneak peek of their comeback to Neighbours.
For the final episode of the show, which will air later this month, the famed couple, who launched their careers on the Australian soap opera, reprised their legendary roles as Charlene and Scott Robinson.
Many details of their homecoming have been kept under wraps, but Kylie and Jason have both just shared a sneak peek at what’s in store.
In allusion to the enduringly popular song Especially For You by her and Jason, Kylie posted on Twitter, “Now we’re back together.”
The singer behind the smash song “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” shared photos of herself and co-star Jason on Ramsay Street while wearing Charlene and Scott’s trademark garb.
In a recent interview, Kylie said of her return: “It was amazing and emotional.” It was interesting entering Ramsay Street by vehicle.
“First of all, where’s all that time gone?” she asked Today Extra. Second, everything appears to be same. Thirdly, memories of Scott, Charlene, Jane, and Harold suddenly flooded my mind.
There was a lot of nostalgia and looking backward in conversation.
The initial news of Kylie and Jason’s homecoming came in May.
Following that, a tweet from soap opera executive Jason Herbison stated that the show was “thrilled” to welcome them back.
The executive producer said, “Scott and Charlene are the quintessential Neighbours pair and it would not feel right to end the show without them.”
We’re overjoyed that Jason and Kylie are returning home to participate in a very special way in our series finale.
