Downton Abbey star wants Neighbours cameo

Downton Abbey’s under-butler Thomas Barrow, played by Robert James-Collier, is a big fan of Neighbours and is disappointed the show is ending.

“I was about to say I’ve got an imminent cameo on Neighbours,” he joked with Angela Bishop on Studio 10, “but it’s been’shot,’ hasn’t it?”

“I’m enraged. That’s how we grew up. There should be a global petition to get Neighbours back on the air…. surely there is? What would Paul Robinson do?

“I’m concerned about them!”

When Bishop was asked whether he could fly to Australia before the filming wrapped in June, he accepted.

“Right now, work is a little spotty. I’m going to fly economy. Honestly!”
