She told Today’s Brooke Boney, “For so long I was like ‘Oh maybe, I don’t know, I don’t know if it makes any sense’,” before adding that Jason was a factor in her decision to sign on.

The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer said, “Jason thought this may be a really wonderful occasion to ‘buckle the belt,’ as an ex-boyfriend of mine would say, to say thank you.

Kylie, who left the programme to pursue a career in music, described her return to the Neighbours set in Melbourne as “beautiful and bittersweet.”

“Entering Ramsay Street was quite an experience. She said, “First of all, where’s all that time gone?

“Second, everything appears to be same. Thirdly, everything came pouring back when I saw Scott, Charlene, Jane, and Harold. Talk about recollections and travelling back in time was prevalent.

Like his co-star Jason, his daughter Jemma Donovan also rose to stardom on the popular Australian serial opera.

When it was revealed that Neighbours was ending, he commented, “To be honest, it has kept my family working for a long time.”

“My dad was in it, and my daughter is currently in it. I believe we ought to be appreciative of what it has provided Australia in the form of performers, producers, writers, and directors.
