Home and Away have indicated that Jai Simmons might soon be returning to Summer Bay.
Dean Thompson’s son made an abrupt exit from his life a few weeks ago, after his mother Amber (Madeleine Jevic) had agreed to take him abroad.
Amber felt she could no longer trust Dean (Patrick O’Connor) after an ill-fated attempt to kidnap Jai.
She was also fed up with the endless fights between Dean and her mother, Francesca, who took their toll on Jai.
Amber eventually reappeared in the Bay on Thursday’s triple bill of episodes on Channel 7 in Australia (February 25).
Amber came under the instruction of the recently returned Willow Harris (Sarah Roberts) who decided to help turn Dean’s life around again.
Much to Dean’s surprise, Amber indicated that she didn’t want to cut him off from Jai.
After finding some assurance from Dean that they will get things back on a keel, Amber indicated that she will be in contact again to discuss his future access to Jai.
The young actor River Jarvis played the role of Jai for his initial stint and is expected to return to the screen as part of this storyline.
Jai’s return could offer a new path for Dean’s life again, having recently seen his mate, Colby Thorne, sentenced to 25 years in jail.
Dean also struggled to see his ex-girlfriend, Ziggy Astoni, move on with Tane Parata.
Home and Away fans in the UK can see Amber’s return to Channel 5 in March.
