Next week on Neighbours, Levi Canning (Richie Morris) takes a gamble on love, declaring his emotions for Freya Wozniak (Phoebe Roberts) in a surprise yet extremely sweet manner.
Despite their obvious chemistry, the couple has struggled to articulate their feelings for one another, which is partly owing to how they met.
Freya first met Levi when she showed up on Ramsay Street earlier this year on a covert assignment, as viewers know.
The newcomer was determined to find her missing boyfriend, Gareth Bateman, and Levi, as a cop, was the ideal person to help her.
Freya, on the other hand, grew fond to Levi and eventually admitted to using him to track for her missing beau.
Levi felt betrayed and considered ending his relationship with her.
Despite his threats, he was unable to carry them out, and thus resolved to assist her in finding Gareth.
The two spent more time together as a result of their inquiry, and Freya soon developed genuine feelings for Levi, which surprised her.
Gareth, on the other hand, gatecrashed their trip to River Bend, exposing his true colours by shooting Levi and almost killing Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson).
In the midst of the pandemonium, Gareth died, and Freya and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) refused to help him, which would later come back to haunt them both.
Meanwhile, Levi felt completely deceived by Freya’s refusal to reveal the circumstances surrounding Gareth’s murder, and he resolved never to see her again.
Freya had been crushed. She pushed herself into volunteering at the Foundation to make amends, which impressed Levi, and he quickly patched things up with her.
Meanwhile, Freya deduces Corey Smythe-Jones’ (Laurence Boxhall) and Christabel’s (Syd Zygier) identities this week, following the former to a rural cottage where he’s drugging Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan).
Corey tackles her and binds her up, putting her life in jeopardy. However, she quickly gains the upper hand and rejoins Levi and David.
The ordeal pushes her closer to Levi once more, and the moment we’ve all been waiting for arrives next week.
With Freya and Levi reluctant to declare their affections for each other, Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) takes a tremendous risk by violating girl code to speak with Levi and convince him he needs to make things official with Freya.
Levi, on the other hand, is taken aback by Chloe’s statements, as he had assumed Freya was uninterested in him!
These two, in particular.
As Levi prepares to make a huge romantic gesture, Chloe reassures him and finally gives him the confidence he requires.
Pictures show the officer pulling up in his patrol cruiser on Ramsay Street before leaving and making a bold statement.
Residents in the neighbourhood watch as he loudly proclaims his love for Freya, who is overjoyed by his words.
The two finally kiss in romantic scenes, and fellow street characters applaud.
Later that week, while enjoying a picnic, Freya and Levi fight to suppress the energy between them. As the evening progresses, they cave to temptation — in the bushes!
However, disaster strikes when their clothing are taken!
How are they going to get out of this one? That remains to be known, but the mischievous adventure brings them closer together in the end.
